Pikeville, KY…..The JTBA is looking for all 12U bowlers to compete in the newley formed 12U Division. The division was held this past season (2020-2021), but we had a very hard time getting enough 12U Girls & ended up having to combine boys & girls in the division, which detered girls from entering.. If you were 12 years old or younger on August 1, 2021, then you will be classified as a 12U Bowler for all JTBA events. However, depending on your birthdate, you could be U15 for Junior Gold.

Keep in mind that according to USBC there were only 3-12U bowlers in the State of Ohio that averaged over 160, this past season. You can look at JTBA event results from this past season and see how many we had and what the scholarship payouts were for each event. So if you are averaging 130-150, you can compete in the JTBA 12U Division.

Parents you can enter your 12U child or younger and earn SMART scholarships by competiting in the JTBA. As you move up in age divsions for 6 or 7 years, until you attend college, you can accumulate scholarship funds to be used when you attend college.

So, if you are currently a JTBA bowler, please reach out to all of your bowling friends and inform them about the JTBA. It is my hope to grow this divsion this season.

Also, currently signed up for the August 8, 2021 JTBA/RKH Coaching “Kick-Off” tournament I have 8-12U boys & only 3-12U Girls. We need to have at least 4 to have a division. So please help me recruit more 12 U bowlers!
